An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a lead role in the executive search division of a leading life science recruitment business.

The Client

A national recruitment consultancy focusing on the scientific, clinical and engineering sectors who are part of one of the largest recruitment groups in Europe. A business in a buoyant sector who are on an aggressive expansion campaign with annual revenues in excess of £70 million.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a lead role in the executive search division of a leading life science recruitment business. The division has a solid reputation for delivery of niche talent within the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology and related industries across Europe. As this division continues to grow, they are seeking an ambitious individual to lead a specialist search practice. This opportunity is open to a contingency perm recruiter who is looking to move into a retained / search model or an existing search consultant looking for space and support to lead their own practice area.

You will be coached and mentored by the Director of Search to help establish yourself as a key player in this market. You will be fully supported in building a team to deliver campaigns through a quality focussed structure. Networking both internally and externally will be the keys of success to build up your brand presence and to leverage off a world leading contingency recruitment business.

Utilising your understanding of the Life Science market to interpret complex briefs and develop opportunities for the research community to target talent, you will have the opportunity to develop into a true market expert. Predominantly client facing, this role will provide you with the opportunity to build a pan European network initially with future global potential. You will have support in generating leads and new assignments however you will also be expected to develop your sector further through key event attendance and client development.

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in permanent recruitment in the Life Sciences market.
  • Excellent process and project management skills.
  • Able to provide a strategic sales, business and financial business plan and drive the implementation.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills with good listening skills.
  • Wide business acumen.
  • Sound business ethics and integrity.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Independent with good problem solving skills.
  • Developed and effective man-management and leadership skills.
