Internal Engineering Recruitment Consultant

Northampton, UK. Basic £45K plus company car plus amazing benefits. Working as an internal recruiter for a world leading company with regard to engineering design and build.


The purpose of the internal engineering recruitment consultant is to ensure that the highest quality of candidates are introduced to the client company via a combination of internal sourcing and the use of external agencies. Hard work will be rewarded with an excellent financial and benefits package.

The Client

Our client are a world leader with regard engineering design and build. They are responsible for the design, manufacture and testing for a brand which is a household name.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working on an extremely large number of technical/engineering vacancies at any one time.
  • Ensure all requisitions are fully specified and tracked through the correct authorisation, sourcing channels and processes.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders on a face to face basis daily.
  • Interviewing and registering suitable candidates.
  • Ensuring all applicants undergo a “best candidate” experience.
  • Deciding which vacancies should be worked on “in house” and which should be given to external recruitment partners.
  • Facilitating the smooth running of the recruitment process across a wide range of processes.
  • Maintain the recruitment system demonstrating respect for the integrity of data.
  • Produce communications (e.g. advertisements) to a high standard in accordance with the clients brand guidelines.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Experience of working within technical/engineering recruitment.
  • Experience of working on senior level placements up to £90K basic salaries.
  • Experience of both permanent and contract recruitment gained within this sector.
  • Experienced in managing candidates through the full end to end recruitment process.
  • Professional, corporate and well presented.
  • Hard working.
  • Able to work in a fast paced and sometimes pressurised environment.
  • Comfortable engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies.
